Seamless Gutters in Southern New Hampshire

Water pouring over the edge in a downpour? Icicles where the gutter used to drain? We install seamless aluminum and copper gutters, add leaf guards, and repair what can be saved. Every run is cut to fit your house, and estimates are free and in writing.

Gutter Options for Your Home

A gutter has one job: catch the water coming off your roof and put it down somewhere it can't hurt the house. Here are the ways we do that.

Seamless Aluminum Gutters

This is what most homes around here end up with, and for good reason. Each run is formed from a single coil of aluminum, cut to the exact length of your eave, so there are no joints along the way to drip or pull apart. Aluminum doesn't rust, and the factory finish comes in enough colours to match most trim.

Gutter Guards & Leaf Protection

Oaks, maples, and white pines drop a lot into a New Hampshire gutter. Guards are covers or screens that let water in and keep leaves and needles out, so the gutter keeps flowing and you spend less time on a ladder. Clear gutters also drain meltwater instead of holding it where it can freeze.

Copper Gutters

Copper is the traditional choice for antique and period homes. It starts bright, then slowly weathers to brown and eventually green. It is a long-lasting metal and it looks right on an old house in a way painted aluminum doesn't. It is also the most expensive option by a wide margin.

Gutter Repair & Replacement

Not every gutter problem needs a new system. If yours are sagging, dripping at a corner, or coming away from the fascia (the board they're fastened to), we can often re-hang them, reset the slope, reseal joints, or swap a crushed downspout. If they're too far gone, we'll say so.

What Drives the Cost of Gutters

We don't publish a price chart, because no two rooflines are the same. Here is how the options compare and what makes a job cost more or less. Your actual price comes from measuring your house.

How a Gutter Install Goes

Slope and downspout placement decide whether gutters work. These are the four steps we follow to get both right.

1

Look, measure, estimate

We check the roofline, see where water is going now, measure each run, and write up an itemized estimate. Free, with no obligation.

2

Take down the old system

Old gutters and downspouts come off, and we inspect the fascia and soffit (the underside of the eave) for rot before anything new is attached.

3

Form the gutters on site

A machine on our truck shapes each gutter from one continuous strip, cut to length for your house. We hang it with a slight slope so water runs to the downspout.

4

Downspouts, guards, cleanup

Downspouts are placed to send water away from the foundation. Guards go on if you've chosen them, and we leave the yard clean.

What Gutters Protect

A roof sheds a surprising amount of water. In southern New Hampshire that means snowmelt in late winter, steady rain in spring, and sudden thunderstorms in summer. If the gutters leak, sag, or overflow, all of it lands beside your foundation or runs down your walls.

Over time that shows up as rotted fascia and trim, stained siding, a damp basement, and ice on the steps. Gutters that are sloped correctly, with downspouts that discharge away from the house, prevent most of it. Keeping them clear also gives meltwater a way out in winter.

Because we also do roofing and siding, we look at how the three meet at the eave. A gutter that is right for the roof edge above it and the wall below it does its job quietly for a long time.

Gutter Questions We Hear Most

What do new gutters cost in southern New Hampshire?

Gutters are priced by length, so the main factors are how many feet of eave you have, how many storeys up they are, how many corners and downspouts are needed, and the material. Seamless aluminum is the most affordable, guards add to that, and copper costs considerably more. We measure your house and give you a free written estimate instead of a ballpark.

Are seamless gutters better than sectional ones?

For most houses, yes. Sectional gutters come in short lengths joined every few feet, and each joint is a place for leaks to start and debris to catch. A seamless gutter is one continuous piece per run, with joints only at corners and ends. That means fewer leaks and a cleaner line along the roof.

Will gutter guards stop ice dams?

Not by themselves. An ice dam forms when heat escaping through the roof melts snow, and the meltwater refreezes at the cold eave. Guards help by keeping gutters clear so meltwater can drain, but the real fix is usually attic insulation and ventilation. If ice dams are a regular problem at your house, we'll look at the whole picture during a free inspection.

Why are gutters such a big deal in New Hampshire?

Because of how much water comes off a roof here, and when. Snowmelt, spring rain, and summer downpours all have to go somewhere. Without working gutters it runs down the siding and soaks the ground beside the foundation, which leads to rotted trim, wet basements, and ice on walkways. Gutters with the right slope carry that water away from the house.

Do you fix existing gutters, or only put up new ones?

We do both. Sagging runs, leaky corners, gutters pulling off the fascia, and poor drainage can often be repaired by re-hanging, resetting the slope, resealing, or replacing a downspout. If the gutters are beyond saving, we'll tell you plainly and price a seamless replacement.
